This badge allows students to be deeply aware of the importance of mental health and its effect on ministry. Aside from awareness, it allows them to discover practical disciplines to foster mental health.
Upon Completion of this Badge, you should be able to:

Students will understand the importance of physical care to attain optimal and sustainable function in the minist

Students will understand the importance of continued professional education, development of professional plan, and identification of different common dangers and pitfalls to avoid.

Students will learn to identify different mental health issues, evaluate their own struggles, learn how to develop a plan to address them, and value the need to seek help.

Students will understand the struggles facing ministry families, develop a plan with their spouse to balance their family and commitments, and learn to seek counseling & mentoring help.

Students will learn the importance of personal spiritual development and evaluation, identify the instances of spiritual warfare, respond to these challengesa in their pastoral ministry, and develop a plan for spiritual development.

Students will learn the basic principles of Biblical financial success, evaluate their own financial state, engage diverse financial resources, identify alternative revenue sources, and create a budget that allows long term financial freedom.

Dr. Wilbert Baker has a Doctor of Ministry degree and serves as the Program Director of PACE Academy. He has several certifications in Biblical Counseling, Black Church Studies, Theology, and the Bible. Dr. Baker has been a pastor for over 30 years and serves as the Founder and pastor of Lakeland Missionary Baptist Church. |
