Pastoral Service Support
This is meant to address auxillaries and functions within the church meant to assist the pastor. (I.E., elders, deacons, pastor's aides, etc. depending on church structure)
Upon Completion of this Badge, you should be able to:

Students will understand the biblical role of deacon and pastors and develop a plan to improve relationships within the elder board.

Students will understand the biblical role of deacons and pastors, and develop a plan to improve relationships within their deacon and pastoral board.

Students will understand the biblical role of pastoral staff and develop a plan to improve and maintain support with other pastors.

Students will understand the need, value, and role of a auxillary/pastoral care comittee. They will learn to develop a plan to maintain and improve relationships in an Auxillary/Pastoral Care committee.

Students will understand the biblical role of chruch laity, and develop a plan to gain and maintain support of their congregation.

Students will understand role and importance of external mentors, and develop a plan for seeking, evaluating, and maintaining quality external support structures.

Dr. Wilbert Baker has a Doctor of Ministry degree and serves as the Program Director of PACE Academy. He has several certifications in Biblical Counseling, Black Church Studies, Theology, and the Bible. Dr. Baker has been a pastor for over 30 years and serves as the Founder and pastor of Lakeland Missionary Baptist Church. |
