This course introduces the basic grammar and vocabulary of biblical Greek, preparing you to translate, interpret, and apply Scripture, and use Greek in your biblical studies. You will learn the essentials of grammar and an adequate vocabulary by doing exercises.

  • Understand the basic grammar of biblical Greek.

  • Know foundational Greek vocabulary words (about 320).

  • Translate from the New Testament with some helps

  • Use biblical Greek as a tool for ministry to better understand and communicate God’s Word.

  • Utilize commentaries and biblical resources that require knowledge of the Greek language.

Dr. R. Elliott Mallory–Greene (a.k.a. “Prof”) is in his 43th year pastoral service and has taught Biblical Languages and Exegesis, and Pastoral Theology for over 30 years; at Dallas Theological Seminary (Dallas, TX), Westminster Theological Seminary (Philadelphia, PA/Dallas, TX), Redeemer Theological Seminary (Dallas, TX), and at Faith International University and Seminary (Tacoma, Washington). He also currently holds professorships Oikodome Bible Institute and Trinity Evangelical Bible Seminary, both in Houston, Texas.
