Church Governance
Addressing the different types of church governance and how they work
Students will understand the different models of Church Leadership, understand the theology of Church governance, biblical understanding of the roles and responsibility of Church members, biblical understanding of the church relationship to it members, understand Church Governance from a practical perspective & learn the foundational structure of Church Government.
Students will understand how the congregational, presbyterian & episcopal Model functions, understand how the Elder led congregationally affirmed model work & have a comprehensive understanding of different church models.
Students will learn how voting works based upon your Church government Modal, learn how Consensus building works based upon your Church government Modal, learn how Consultation works based upon your Church government Modal, learn how Accountability works based upon your Church government Modal, learn how to properly think through decision making in the church & learn how decision-making works in the modal of Church governance you use.
Students will learn biblical Justice in Church government, learn Biblical Equity in Church government, learn biblical inclusion in Church government, learn the importance of upholding biblical values, understand biblical ethics in church governance & understand biblical Ethics and Values as it relates to church government.
Students will learn the roles and responsibilities of Senior pastors, learn the roles and responsibilities of Elders, learn the roles and responsibilities of Deacons, learn the roles and responsibilities of Lay leaders & have a comprehensive understanding of biblical leadership.
Students will learn the legal framework that govern the church, learn the regulatory framework that govern the church, learn the role of the bible in establishing church law, learn the difference between church and state & learn biblically the importance of state law and church law.
Dr. Wilbert Baker has a Doctor of Ministry degree and serves as the Program Director of PACE Academy. He has several certifications in Biblical Counseling, Black Church Studies, Theology, and the Bible. Dr. Baker has been a pastor for over 30 years and serves as the Founder and pastor of Lakeland Missionary Baptist Church. |
Randall Whitman is the proud husband of Kimberly and father of two beautiful little redheaded daughters. His passion is equipping the global pastor to minister faithfully in any context God puts them in (and American football). He is a Moody Bible Institute graduate, an Adjunct Professor of Theology at Ambassador International University (AIU) in Zambia, and the Founder of the Global Pastor Institute. He has authored multiple accredited courses for AIU on topics including Biblical Backgrounds and Theology. God has blessed him with the privilege of teaching in the global context on a regular basis over the past seven years. |
